Graphic Designer

We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer with strong experience in newsletter design, Canva, and Beehiiv to help us build and maintain the visual identity of The Childcare Journal — a premium publication for childcare landlords across NSW.

This role will work closely with our founder and team to turn raw content, data, and insights into polished, professional, visually engaging newsletters and reports.

What You’ll Do

• Design weekly and monthly newsletters inside Beehiiv, ensuring layouts are clean, premium, and brand-consistent.
• Create reusable Canva templates for newsletter sections, charts, icons, data callouts, and report branding.
• Improve the look and feel of The Childcare Journal using colours, typography, and structural hierarchy.
• Convert content into simple visual elements (tables, charts, maps, highlights, icons).
• Build branded assets for recurring content sections (Tenant Demand, DA Pipeline, Expert Insights, Market Economics).
• Work with our VA to align design templates with Beehiiv formatting.
• Produce PDF versions of the journal for premium subscribers and presentations.

Skills & Experience

• Strong, demonstrated experience in Canva (templates, brand kits, layouts).
• Hands-on experience designing newsletters in Beehiiv (or similar platforms like Mailchimp/Substack).
• Excellent eye for typography, spacing, grids, and premium editorial design.
• Ability to visually simplify data-heavy content.
• Portfolio showcasing clean, modern design for newsletters, reports, or editorial content.
• Ability to work quickly, independently, and deliver high-standard creative on short timelines.

Bonus Skills (Not essential but preferred)

• Familiarity with property, data, or economic dashboards.
• Experience with brand identity development.
• Ability to produce simple illustrations or custom icons.
