About the Role
High Point Insight International, Inc. is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented, and discreet Data & Insights Strategist to contribute to pivotal projects for our clients in the North American SaaS technology companies.
This is a 100% remote and non-client-facing role. You will act as the key "architect behind the curtain," working hand in hand with the CEO and delivery team (data scientist and presentation designer). Your primary responsibility is to translate complex data into a clear, compelling, and actionable strategic narrative that drives significant, data-driven decisions for our clients. You will also conduct supplementary strategic research and analysis but your main focus is on the strategic narrative.
You will be the conductor that leads the creation of 30-50 page long slide deliverables (helped by a rockstar presentation designer) for prominent North American B2B SaaS technology clients.
This is an ideal opportunity for a former data insights or strategy consulting analyst who thrives on data-driven decision-making, meticulous research, and contributing to significant strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
Structure the key sections of the report and the main points within them.
For research-oriented projects, collaborate closely with the CEO to write up reports into sound deliverables using raw, messy research or interview data. You will act as a sounding board for creating better output.
For data-oriented projects, collaborate closely with the data science team to understand the outputs of their analysis, including key metrics including but not limited to: Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Churn, and market sizing models.
For slide deliverables, write the executive summary, background, methodology, key takeaways, and strategic observations for each presentation slide, translating raw data into clear business insights.
(For segmentation studies) Aid in the development and articulation of strategic hypotheses based on the data, such as identifying high-potential customer segments or market opportunities.
(For market studies) Enrich revenue/customer cube data with industry and company information data using 3rd party tools (e.g. Clearbit, Apollo, AI tools).
Work alongside the CEO in an iterative process to review, refine, and finalize the strategic narrative.
Maintain absolute confidentiality of all sensitive project and client information, respecting privacy and data security requirements at all times.
---
Qualifications
Required: Prior experience in one of the following: management consulting, customer segmentation studies, market sizing studies, or similar strategic and analytical roles.
Exceptional ability to synthesize data into a slide title that communicates the core insight or "so what?"
Proven experience leading the creation of client-facing deliverables in a strategic business advisory setting.
Demonstrated experience with data analysis using tools such as R, Python, or Excel, enabling effective collaboration with technical data teams.
Clear, concise, and persuasive English writing skills.
Strong understanding of confidentiality practices and data privacy protocols.
---
Application Requirements
To be considered, you MUST provide the following:
Proof of Prior Work: Attach a link to a drive folder containing at least 1, or ideally 2, examples of your prior deliverables. Sensitive information must be redacted. This is a mandatory requirement, and applications without it will not be considered.
Attention to Detail: To demonstrate your attention to detail, please include the phrase "strategic narrative" in your application submission (e.g., in your cover letter or introductory message).
Sincerely,
Robert
