About the Role:
This is a rare opportunity for a capable and ambitious individual to work directly with one of Australia's largest and most respected operators in the short-term rental industry. You’ll begin by supporting key day-to-day property operations — particularly around bookings management, guest management, maintenance support and admin tasks as required — helping to manage a portfolio of up to 800 properties across NSW, Australia as part of the core Offshore team.
Our company, Staff Connect Australia, is the agency tasked with building a remote offshore team for our client and you will be part of the core team as we look to get things started. This team will grow over he next 6 months and open up a lot of career opportunities for you working with a leading Australian company.
As you develop, your responsibilities will expand to include owner reporting, calendar management, pricing support, housekeeping management and SOP development. This position suits someone who wants hands-on exposure to all aspects of Australian short-term rental operations and is looking for a stable, full-time role (40 hours per week) within a growing and dynamic business.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where your ability to stay organised, communicate clearly, and manage multiple moving parts will directly impact guest satisfaction and operational success.
About You:
You’re a proactive and detail-oriented operator who thrives in fast-moving, customer-facing environments. You’re great at juggling competing priorities, coordinating with teams, and ensuring no task gets missed.
You’re confident communicating with different stakeholders — whether that’s cleaners, guests, tradespeople, or property owners — and you’re comfortable switching between admin, messaging platforms, calendars, and reports. You’re tech-savvy, solutions-focused, and take pride in your ability to think ahead, communicate professionally, and operate independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor turnovers and ensure each property is guest-ready before check-in
Respond to guest enquiries and issues via Airbnb, direct booking channels, or internal platforms
Assign maintenance tasks and follow up with tradespeople
Communicate clearly with owners around booking performance, issues, and maintenance
Manage booking calendars, pricing tools, and blackout dates
Assist with onboarding new properties, collecting key data, and updating systems
Create or update internal SOPs, guest manuals, and team instructions
Maintain accurate logs of cleans, maintenance, guest issues, and owner updates
Support compliance and documentation tasks (e.g. smoke alarms, council registration)
Identify workflow gaps and help implement improvements or automations
Attend meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items
Prepare monthly or weekly reports using spreadsheets or dashboards
Coordinate and confirm cleans with contractors or internal housekeeping teams
Your Skills & Experience:
We prefer at least 3 years’ experience in short-term rental operations, property management, or admin; however, we may sacrifice limited experience for someone with the right skillset and training in property management or a similar industry.
Excellent English – both spoken and written and a stable internet connection
Strong working knowledge of Homhero and/or RMS (or ability to learn quickly)
Familiarity with Airbnb direct booking platforms
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Tech-comfortable — able to pick up new systems and processes with ease
Experience working with Australian clients, STR operators, or real estate teams is highly regarded
Core Platforms: Homhero, RMS, MS Office, Gsuite
Communication: Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams
Booking & Guest Platforms: Airbnb direct booking platforms
Automation & AI: ChatGPT, Zapier
Docs & Design: Google Docs, Slides, Canva
Bonus Points!!
Experience managing cleaning teams or contractors remotely
Familiarity with dynamic pricing tools (e.g. PriceLabs)
Strong written English skills for guest communications and SOP creation
Comfortable using AI to streamline tasks, draft emails, or create checklist
What You’ll Receive:
Competitive rate: 35,000PHP/month
Full-time role: 40 hours per week (aligned with Australian time zones)
Paid training and onboarding
Close mentorship and direct communication with the business owners
Long-term opportunity to grow with a supportive, performance-driven business
Exposure to a variety of tasks and the full STR operations cycle
A role where initiative is valued and you’re empowered to make an impact
