Financial Controller – AU/NZ Group (Remote)

We’re bold, growing fast, and looking for a trusted Remote Financial Controller to lead our finance function with precision and independence.

About the Role
We’re looking for a self-sufficient, detail-driven Financial Controller to take full ownership of SpeedFit’s multi-entity finance function across Australia and New Zealand.

This role is not about chasing tasks; it's about running the show. You will oversee all aspects of reporting, compliance, payroll, and financial forecasting, while managing and developing junior bookkeepers and external providers across multiple locations.

You’ll work directly with the CEO and serve as the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and clarity across our franchise and corporate locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, consistent monthly reporting across all SpeedFit entities
- Own and manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and KPI dashboards
- Oversee payroll (via KeyPay), including compliance with STP, Superannuation, and Fair Work awards
- Manage and reconcile direct debit transactions using GoCardless
- Prepare financial packages using Fathom and present actionable insights to the CEO
- Work with external accountants on BAS, tax returns, and EOFY compliance
- Liaise with banks, funding partners, and legal/accounting professionals as needed
- Manage junior bookkeepers and studio-level admin to ensure accurate daily entries and reconciliations
- Ensure proper system integration and process reliability across Xero, Dext, Mindbody, and Go High Level

What We’re Looking For
- CPA or equivalent qualification strongly preferred
8+ years’ experience in finance, including AU/NZ accounting, payroll, and compliance
- Demonstrated leadership in managing finance functions or small teams
- Strong command of Xero, KeyPay, GoCardless, Fathom, and related platforms
- Confidence in handling multi-entity consolidation and franchise/retail reporting
Excellent communication skills and professional written English

Independent, proactive, and capable of owning outcomes without constant supervision

 Salary & Benefits
130,000 – 150,000 PHP/month, depending on experience
