Automation Engineer

Our client is a US-based Cyber Security Managed Service Provider looking for an Automation Engineer to enhance and streamline their security operations through automation and workflow optimization.

The Automation Engineer is focused on functioning as the primary automation resource for our client's internal operations, specifically as it pertains to their MSS practice. The Automation Engineer will function as a backup to the Sr. Automation Architect as well as contribute to maintaining the infrastructure, process, and workflow as it pertains to those operations and the SOAR platform internally. This includes some project management, documentation, mentorship, expertise in infrastructure development and maintenance, training, audit, and operating as an expert and advisor in the development and evolution of our client's Automation Services. The Automation Engineer is a member of the 96Bravo Team and will utilize technical expertise and polite professional etiquette while performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate expertise in the areas of Automation, Development, and Cloud Technologies.
• Develop and document processes for internal automation, development projects, and Cyber Security Workflows.
• Assist in the scoping and deployment of an SDLC.
• Work with the team to identify internal automation opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of industry-wide trends and technologies as it relates to automation and cloud technologies.
• Act as a subject matter expert regarding the development and implementation of SOAR integrations and playbooks.
• Coordinate with the 96Bravo Manager, MSS Management, and the Sr. Automation Architect for process improvement and service evolution.
• Assist in the development of internal training programs, activities, and initiatives.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of Development Experience in Python or JavaScript.
• 2 years of SOAR platform or similar experience preferred.
• Engineering experience.
• Threat research experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with staff and other teams.
• Network architecture and design.
• Ability to create and present to both customer and internal parties.
• Strong project planning and organizational skills.
• Industry standard awareness.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge.
