Clinical Review Specialist – Remote (Part-Time)

About the Role

The Review Specialist is responsible for reviewing and summarizing medical records related to surrogacy and fertility journeys. This role ensures that records are complete, clinically relevant, and ready for submission to clinics and agencies. The Review Specialist identifies any concerns or missing information, helping to maintain accuracy, compliance, and transparency throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Medical Records Review
  • Review collected medical records to confirm completeness and relevance to surrogacy and fertility requirements.
  • Identify and note any concerns, unusual findings, or gaps in documentation.
• Summarization
  • Prepare clear, well-structured medical summaries that highlight key details from OB, IVF, PN, LD, and related records.
  • Ensure summaries are concise, accurate, and tailored to clinic and agency needs.
• Collaboration
  • Work closely with intake, collection, and operations teams to ensure timely turnaround and case progress.
  • Flag issues requiring follow-up with providers, agencies, or internal staff.
• Compliance & Confidentiality
  • Handle all records in accordance with HIPAA and company standards for privacy and security.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality while working with sensitive medical information.

     

Qualifications

• Experience in medical records review, nursing, medical transcription, or related healthcare field preferred.
• Familiarity with OB/GYN, fertility, and surrogacy terminology is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing or concerning information.
• Excellent written communication skills for preparing professional summaries.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and handling Protected Health Information (PHI).

• Comfortable working independently in a deadline-driven environment.
