About the Company

The company is private equity firm with a growing portfolio of flooring and construction-related businesses across North America. This role will support multiple operating companies within the flooring portfolio.
 

Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations while supporting accurate financial records across multiple entities. This role mirrors the previous successful hire (Andrea Tugade) and works closely with the Controller and accounting team.
 

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and approvals
• Code invoices to proper GL accounts, job costs, and cost centers
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Process payments via checks, ACH, and electronic transfers
• Maintain organized AP files and digital records

Reconciliations & Reporting

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Perform credit card and expense reconciliations
• Post journal entries including accruals, COGS, and adjustments
• Assist with month-end close activities and audits

Additional Accounting Support

• Post Accounts Receivable deposits as needed
• Communicate with vendors regarding billing and payment issues
• Support multiple portfolio companies simultaneously
   

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience
• Experience in construction or flooring industry strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of job costing and trade/vendor billing
• High attention to detail and ability to manage high invoice volume
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Comfortable working with multiple entities and deadlines
• Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
