Web Developer

We’re Blunt Cases — a fashion-forward phone-case brand focusing on Gen-Z women (and now, launching Blunt Men). We need a Shopify Liquid developer who can own our theme tweaks for the next couple of months. First mission: build the Men toggle & UI split; next up: custom nav, smart “shop-by-style” filters, variant-level menus, and other juicy front-end upgrades.

 Core Responsibilities
Phase 1 (Priority)

A.) Implement a Men ? Women header toggle that loads Men-specific header/footer/announcement and filters products by vendor = “Blunt Men.”. Think Fashion Nova's Women/Men site wide navigation filtering 

B.) Make all Men elements editable in the Theme Customizer.

C.) Ensure fast, responsive code (? 5-pt Lighthouse drop).

Phase 2+ (Following Weeks)

D.) Build advanced navigation (e.g., “Shop by Style,” “Shop by Variant”).

E.) Add collection & product-page filter functionality.

General Guideline: 

1. Work in a duplicate theme; never touch live theme. Push changes to draft theme only.

2. Communicate daily on Slack.

3. Provide concise Looms / changelogs for each feature.

 Must-Have Skills
1. Deep Shopify Liquid + JSON templates knowledge (Dawn or Dawn-based stacks).

2. Theme settings & section schema mastery (we hate hard-coding content).

3. JavaScript for front-end interactions (no bloated libs, please).

4. Performance & accessibility best practices.

5. Bonus: experience splitting storefronts by gender/region or building mega-menus & filter systems.

 Contract Details
Length: 1 – 2 months (starting ASAP).

Commitment: $1,000 USD per month but flexible; we care about deliverables.

Timezone: We’re US-based but async is totally fine. Do expect a few meetings in EST, but work on your own hours. 

 Immediate Timeline (Phase 1)
Kick-off & access - within 3 days of hire
Men toggle & UI draft - ~7 calendar days
QA + polish & go-live - +5 days
