The Opportunity
This hybrid role combines narrative architecture with visual storyboarding to transform raw content into compelling, visually-mapped narratives. You'll establish the creative foundation for all projects before they enter production, ensuring both narrative coherence and visual clarity from conception to completion. Perfect for creative professionals who excel at finding stories in unstructured content and translating them into clear visual direction.
Your Key Responsibilities
Narrative Development (40%)
Review and analyze raw footage (30 minutes to 5+ hours) to identify compelling storylines and structure coherent narratives
Create detailed story outlines, scripts, and narrative guides that provide clear direction for the editing team
Map emotional journeys and story arcs for diverse content types including documentaries, podcasts, sermons, and brand videos
Transform unstructured content (including 500GB+ of raw footage) into organized, purposeful narratives
Visual Storyboarding (30%)
Develop comprehensive visual storyboards showing shot composition, camera angles, transitions, and pacing
Create frame-by-frame illustrations or sketches that communicate the intended look and feel of final videos
Design visual concepts for 30+ monthly graphic projects while maintaining brand consistency
Map out visual effects, text overlays, and motion graphics requirements before editing begins
Pre-Production Planning (20%)
Participate in client meetings to understand vision, ask clarifying questions, and present both story and visual concepts
Research and document specific b-roll footage needed for each scene with detailed descriptions and sources
Create visual reference libraries and maintain organized documentation for team access
Develop production roadmaps that editors can follow without ambiguity
Quality Control & Collaboration (10%)
Review rough cuts to ensure both narrative consistency and visual alignment with initial concepts
Provide guidance to the 9-person multimedia artist team on both story purpose and visual execution
Create revision documentation that addresses both narrative and visual feedback
Collaborate with editors to ensure storyboards are technically feasible within project constraints
What Makes You a Great Fit
Must-Haves:
Minimum 2 years of experience in video production, storyboarding, content creation, or related creative fields
Demonstrated ability to find and structure narratives from raw, unorganized content
Proficiency in visual storytelling through sketching or digital illustration (clarity over artistic perfection)
Strong understanding of story structure, pacing, and audience engagement principles
Experience with various content formats: long-form, short-form, documentary, promotional
Portfolio showing both narrative development and visual storyboarding work
Ability to review large volumes of content efficiently and extract meaningful storylines
Understanding of shot types, camera movements, and visual composition
Familiarity with video editing workflows and terminology
Experience with digital illustration tools and storyboarding software
Knowledge of current video trends and platform-specific requirements
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent written and verbal communication for client interactions and team guidance
Ability to present creative concepts clearly to both clients and team members
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously
Adaptability to work with different content types and client industries
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with documentary-style or long-form content production
Background in religious, motivational, or educational content
Previous experience guiding creative teams or managing creative workflows
Familiarity with real estate or business content creation
Understanding of social media content strategies and trends
Experience working with US-based clients

Working Hours:
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Philippines-based (must work within team timezone)
Regular participation in Start of Week meetings and Creativity Circles
Direct reporting to Supervisor of Operations
Daily interaction with multimedia artists and client stakeholders
Compensation:
Starting Rate: $3/hour (regardless of experience)
Performance-based increases: Pay may increase after completing training based on performance
Growth Opportunities: Maximum pay cap of $7/hour for top performers

Equipment Requirements:
Hardware:
Processor: Intel i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 or equivalent
RAM: 8GB minimum (16GB preferred for smooth multitasking)
Storage: 250GB SSD + 1TB HDD for file management and project storage
Graphics: Basic dedicated graphics card preferred (for design work)
Drawing Input: Graphics tablet (Wacom, Huion, iPad, or equivalent) for storyboarding
Monitor: Color-accurate display recommended for design consistency
Internet Speed: 150 Mbps minimum (stable connection essential for large file transfers)
Software:
Required: Proficiency in at least one storyboarding/design software (Storyboard Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, or similar)
Required: Google Workspace proficiency for collaboration
Preferred: Basic familiarity with video editing software to understand technical constraints
Preferred: Project management tools experience (ClickUp knowledge a plus)
