IT Instructor (Cybersecurity / Lua Programming)

Location: Davao City

IT STEP Academy Philippines is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable IT Instructor specializing in Cybersecurity and Lua Programming.
The ideal candidate will guide students through both theoretical and practical lessons, helping them gain real-world skills in secure computing, scripting, and IT systems management.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Conduct engaging lectures and hands-on training sessions on Cybersecurity fundamentals and Lua programming.
✅ Develop and update lesson plans, learning materials, and lab exercises.
✅ Evaluate and mentor students to ensure learning objectives are met.
✅ Integrate real-world cybersecurity practices and Lua scripting projects into the curriculum.
✅ Maintain classroom discipline and ensure compliance with IT security and academic policies.
✅ Stay updated with industry trends, certifications, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
-Practical experience in Cybersecurity (e.g., network security, risk assessment, system protection).
-Strong knowledge of Lua programming (automation, scripting, or embedded applications).
-Teaching or training experience is an advantage.
-Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or OSCP) are a plus.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cybersecurity tools (Wireshark, Nmap, OWASP Top 10)
Familiarity with other programming languages (Python, C/C++)
Experience using e-learning platforms (Google Classroom, Moodle, or similar)
