Operations Associate (Venture-Backed Tech Company)

**About The Company**

OpsNinja is a venture-backed supply-chain technology company. We help e-commerce brands manufacture their products with quality control services including testing, inspection, and certification. We’re founded by two serial entrepreneurs, both Y-Combinator alums (backed Airbnb, Stripe, Instacart, Twitch, Dropbox, Flexport). Our founders have respectively built 7-figure e-commerce stores, lived in China, graduated from Stanford, and built cutting-edge AI-applications at Google & Meta.

**About The Role**

We are looking for a rockstar to join our team as our second hire on our operations team. You will be working closely with customers, vendors, and our founders to keep our customers happy, operations running smoothly, and improve processes as the company grows.

**What A Good Fit Looks Like**

- **Owner Mentality:** You are looking to be part of something bigger than your own. This means treating the business like it’s yours, including working weekends and late nights and going the extra mile wearing multiple hats.
- **Organized & Attentive to Detail:** The world runs on supply-chain, and we play a very critical role in our customer’s operations. Very small details make a big difference. You will be self-managing yourself across lots of open tasks and will need to stay on top of everything.
- **Growth Velocity:** This is not a role for someone who doesn’t want to grow. You will be pushed, and you will have to self-manage yourself to grow. You should have a history of going out of your way to read books, improve your skills, take courses, etc.
- **No Ego, Heads Down:** You are the type of person who likes to get shit done. You are not here to play games or politics. This is largely an individual contributor role, not a people manager role.

**Required Qualifications**

- Spoken & written English fluency. You will not pass initial screening without fluency.
- Time zone and weekend flexibility, we are based in New York with global operations.
- Stable 25 + Mbps upload & download, backup power/data, quiet workspace
- 1–3 yrs in an operations, logistics, customer service or VA role
- Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) **or** demonstrably equivalent work experience.

**Nice to Have Qualifications**

- Technical expertise in coding, SQL, Excel queries, etc.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup or directly with founders.
